I was there recently. Went to Gates and Jack Stack. Gates had the best BBQ sandwich I've ever had. Jack Stack had awesome burnt ends, lamb ribs and chicken. My jury is still out on which one I loved the best.

All of these ads suck. Not just this KC one, Im talking about every single city and state. They all have this "Visit" organization or whatever that puts these awful commercials on TV. Its always a compilation of people doing mostly nothing. Just sitting at a table or bar and eating with eachother. That's supposed to entice potential tourists? Whatever this "visit" thing is, they dont know how to do merit based hiring. These ads are always terrible.

All the places they show I consider commercially owned barbecue now, high priced and not that good. There are much much better smaller places to eat at. Kansas City is my favorite city for barbecue, and I been to all the barbecue regions of this country.

Even our own town people/families BBQ our own delights. Going to college in another city, I was shocked at how some people did not even know how to properly set up a grill for a tailgate. It's natural tradition for me even at a young age. Plenty of BBQ wisdom and styles every corner amongst us!
